Bi-Component Tobacoo Jar Cap Mould

Project introduction:

Tobacoo jar must have good sealing to protect tobacco from moisture. The old production line is to make the jar cap and then insert with a gasket, it will need a 2nd process to insert the gasket separately. So client make a new design, jar cap made with two material, outer is the same HDPE as before, inner with TPE soft material which use to have good sealing after screw on jar. Normally for two component injection, the hard material always injection first, then injection soft material, the difficulty for this project, it has to injection TPE first, then HDPE, our team finally help client find the solution and make the project successfully.

                    1^st shot TPE: hot runner valve gate

                    2^nd shot HDPE: hot runner valve gate
