How to make Bi-Material Oil Cap Mould ?

This kind of double color injection is better then single color or screen printing, meanwhile, the logo is not easy to be faked which is the best solution to rise company image up. It is made of S316 steel, which is good for avoiding wear and extrusion of the threaded part.

Before quotation, we first list some basic requirements of oil cap injection mold for customers’ reference:

A. Product design: size, type, threaded or without threaded, single-color or two-color (Depending on market and customer preference).

B. Mold cavity: 8 cavity, 16 cavity or 32 cavity. (Depends on market demand and customer’s injection molding machine performance).

C. Injection :All-hot runner or semi-hot runner. (Depends on cost factors. )

In addition, the design must pay attention to the following:

1. It requires smooth surface, beautiful shape and good touch.

2. The inner thread is sealed with the bottle body to prevent oil from flowing from the inside of the bottle cap.

For the smoothness of the injection gate and the aesthetic appearance of the cap. We usually advise our customers to use a hot runner system for cap moulds.

The upfront investment cost of a full hot runner mould will be higher than that of a cold runner, but cold runners produce scrap all the time. And in the long run the total cost of the hot runner is higher than the additional cost of the hot runner.
